AN ARMED robber threatened a member of staff with a knife at a Malvern betting shop.
At around 8pm on Sunday, a man walked into the Coral betting shop in Barnard’s Green Road and threatened the cashier with a knife before leaving with a quantity of cash.
The man was wearing a motorbike helmet.
Detective sergeant Sam Bache said: “Although nobody was injured during the incident the victim has understandably been left shaken by what happened and an investigation is underway to identify the man involved.
“Anyone who saw someone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident, or saw the offender making off afterwards, should contact West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident 666s of 18 February 2018.
“Alternatively information can be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers by phoning 0800 555 111 or visiting www.crimestoppers-uk.org.”
