Fancy standing for election as a city councillor?

Find out everything you need to know at a special briefing for prospective candidates on March 19

Starting at 6pm at the Guildhall in Worcester High Street, the eventwill run potential candidates and election agents through essentials like how to complete nomination papers, how much can be spent on campaigning, how postal votes work and much more. Free nomination packs will be available on the night to take away.

West Mercia Police will also be there to discuss the dangers of electoral fraud.

The session is open to anyone interested in standing as a candidate for the council or acting as an agent. More details are available by ringing the Council’s Electoral Services Team on 01905 722530.

This year’s City Council election will take place on May 3. Councillors will be elected in the Battenhall, Bedwardine, Cathedral, Claines, Gorse Hill, Nunnery, Rainbow Hill, St John, St Peter’s, Warndon, Warndon Parish North and Warndon Parish South wards.
