UPDATE: The road currently remains closed but Severn Trent are on the site trying to fix the problem.
A council spokesman said: "There has been a road closure on Worcester Road, Droitwich outside Castle Hotel due to a burst water main.
"Severn Trent are returning this morning but in the meantime you will need to find a different route."
A BUSY road in Droitwich has been forced to close because of a water main leak.
The leak earlier today on Worcester Road in Droitwich by the junction with Tagwell Road is now covered in ice.
The road will remain closed overnight and Severn Trent Water will begin repairs at 7am on Thursday (March 1).
