AN issue with running water in Worcester homes and businesses has been resolved by engineers, say Severn Trent Water.
The water board assured customers in the WR2 area of the city this morning that the problem was being dealt with, putting it down to “an issue with our equipment”.
However, a spokesman for STW told the Worcester News around 1.10pm that the issue has now been fixed.
A statement released on the STW website this morning said: Customers in the WR2 area of Worcester may experience supply interruptions due to an issue with our equipment.
“Our teams are currently on site and are working their hardest on the repair to restore all supplies as soon as possible.”
It went on to say: “We know how difficult it is to have no water, and we’re sorry for the inconvenience this may be causing.
“We’d like to reassure our customers that we’re doing everything we can to get the water supplies back on as soon as we can.”
