A WOMAN was taken to hospital with a head injury after her car flipped onto its roof near Ledbury.

Emergency services were called to the A4103 at Fromes Hill just after 7pm on Wednesday, March 14.

A woman in her 40s, believed to be the driver, was able to get herself out of the car. 

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent one ambulance and a paramedic officer as well as an air ambulance crew from Strensham in a rapid response vehicle to the scene.

Paramedics treated the woman for a head injury, which is not thought to be serious, and she was taken via ambulance to Hereford County Hospital.

West Mercia Police closed the road and told drivers to avoid the area.

Tweeting from @OPUHereford, West Mercia Police officers said: "Police fire and ambulance at road traffic collision on A4103 Worcester side of Fromes Hill. Road is closed. Please avoid the area."

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service firefighters from Ledbury and Bromyard were at the scene.
