POET: Worcestershire's Poet Laureate, Nina Lewis has organised a special night for World Poetry Day
THE Worcestershire Poet Laureate, Nina Lewis will host a special event on Wednesday, March 21 to celebrate and mark World Poetry Day. This is Nina's Official Event as Poet Laureate. Performing on the night are a host of former poet Laureates including Maggie Doyle and Suz Winspear, Worcestershire's Young Poet Laureate Rachel Evans and headlining will be Fergus McGonigal, a former Poet Laureate and Burning Eye Poet.
There are 7 pre-booked open mics, a blind book haiku raffle, a poetry take-away and plenty of other poetic opportunities.
Admission is £3 or £2.50 on the door and the event is held at Cafe Bliss, 21 Sansome Street, Worcester, at 7pm until 9:30 pm.
