A POPULAR city centre leisure centre which was forced to close last night, is open today.
Perdiswell Leisure Centre was forced to close due to damage to the car park after a height restriction barrier was damaged by travellers, the leisure centre said.
A message on the centre's Facebook page says: "We are open as normal.
"Reminder for swimmers - 1pm to 3pm main pool closed for schools gala.
"Swimming lessons are as normal."
Last night the centre closed early, at 8.45pm, with the police attending the incident.
The Worcester News has previously reported that the travellers originally arrived on the car park last Friday, March 16, and eviction notices were issued by Worcester City Council for the travellers to attend a hearing at county court today.
