So, let's talk about politicians, hats and revolutionary icons.

(Editor: Oh, must we? Because that worked out so well for the BBC)

Councillor Juliet Brunner chaired the Adult Care & Well-being Overview and Scrutiny Committee (I know, crazy name, crazy committee) channelling the spirit of Che Guevara in a fetching pink beret.

Imagine the famous pic of El Che but with a blonde woman instead of a bearded communist under the hat. Oh, and a sparkly pink heart brooch instead of a red star on the beret.

I don't imagine the Conservative councillor for Arrow Valley East (I know, crazy name, crazy division) takes much inspiration from Che and Fidel, but she chaired the meeting with an admirably iron fist - councillors were allowed one question each, and that was it. My kind of dictator.

Behold The Awsome Power of The Source - part two. No sooner do I write about Robin Walker's need for a re-usable coffee cup as a marketing opportunity than they're all at it. First was Labour city councillor Jabba Riaz. His was a homespun arrangement of travel mug with a Vote Labour sticker. Coffee for the many, not the few. (Hat-tip to Cllr Alan Feeney for that gag.)

As if Facebook wasn't in enough of the tricky, sticky stuff - I was told last week that there had been set up a group for fans of The Voice of St John's himself Richard Udall. Now before you decide that this is the last straw and unlike your entire account, I have to tell you it's been removed, taken down, whatever it is you do with virtual groups. Mark Zuckerberg really has opened a can of worms.

Absolute scenes, as the young people say, are expected next Tuesday at the city council's full meeting, as the Conservatives make a bid to unseat Labour leader Adrian Gregson. I can't tell you to whom I was speaking, but you could actually hear the wolfish grin down the phone as the penny dropped about who had the casting vote.

We thought Robin Walker had an important gig what with sporting out the future economic prosperity of the country after Brexit and that. But he's now put that on hold for a bit for a really important job - the 4am feed and changing nappies and burping his new baby daughter. And quite right too. Many, many congratulations to Robin and Charlotte.
