A CAR caught on fire following a two car crash in St Peter's, Worcester. 

Two people were assessed by paramedics following the smash involving a black Fiesta and a black BMW X3 at the junction of St Peter's Drive and Alton Road, on Monday, April 16. 

Emergency services, including two ambulances from West Midlands Ambulance Service and a Worcester crew from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, were called to the scene, just after 5.30pm. 

Paramedics assessed a woman in her 30s, the driver of one of the cars, for back pain.

She had managed to get herself out of the car and was discharged at the scene.

A man in his 50s was also discharged at the scene with minor injuries.

Drivers faced delays and disruption following the crash.

Fire crews worked to make the area safe.
