QUEUES: Traffic is at a gridlock in the city centre this evening
TRAFFIC is heavier than normal in the city centre with a number of roads closed this evening.
Sharman Road in Barbourne is closed due to electricity work, the B4550 Brickfields Road is closed for resurfacing work and Broughton Hackett Lane in Broughton Hackett is closed due to resurfacing work.
In addition temporary traffic lights and on the A38 Droitwich Road in Fernhill Heath for water main work, on the B4205 Tolladine Road for telecoms work and there are road works in Broomhall Way.
This is all on top of the ongoing road works in New Road near Worcester Bridge, with one lane closed.
Waiting times in some places are reported to be 10 minutes.
