ADAM PRZYBEK 7

Solid and confident enough, had little to do but executed what he had to with a minimum of fuss.

RILEY KEASEY 6

Played with assured confidence at right-back up against tough opposition. A solid debut.

JAMIE SMITH 7

Getting tougher in the tackle by the week without losing any zest going forward. City’s most-improved player this season, without question.

JORDAN STODDART 7

Strong when he had to be, particularly in the first 20 minutes when Highgate applied plenty of pressure.

MARK SMITH 7

Like Stoddart, good again. The result wasn’t as clear cut as the score suggests and the backline had work to do.

NATHAN HAYWARD 7

As combative and mobile as always with an added sprinkle of nous in this one. Showed his quality by keeping it simple.

STAR MAN – MAT BIRLEY 7

Flashes of brilliance were few and far between for either side but City’s generally involved their evergreen magician.

Sublime through ball for the third goal edged him ahead of the others for the star man accolade.

GEORGE FORSYTH 7

Had his work cut out against robust opponents but got stuck right in. His best display in his favoured central-midfield position for some weeks.

NICK TURTON 6

Worked tirelessly and got the goal he had craved. That smile had been a while coming but it was worth the wait.

DAVE REYNOLDS 7

It looked like being a frustrating afternoon for the top scorer until his involvement in two of the goals.

Not at his best at the moment but the way City finished the match should boost his confidence.

ALEX TOMKINSON 7

Did well to stay calm and keep at it having received some rough treatment, much improved from Tuesday’s performance.

The fact his full-back had to be hooked for fear of a second yellow card after 24 minutes spoke volumes.
