THE former Hylton Renault site in Worcester has a new owner, with another car dealership set to move in.

Hylton Renault in Bromyard Road, St John's, Worcester closed in March with several redundancies.

Motorline are now relocating their Hyundai dealership to the site at the end of June, leaving their rented Main Street, Hallow base.

The new site is likely to create between six and 12 new jobs.

A spokesman for Motorline said: "Motorline have purchased using their property company GGT Estates, the former Hylton site at Bromyard Road Worcester which until February 2018 represented Nissan and Renault.

"The freehold purchase comprises of two dealerships on a plot of 2.26 acres with parking for 155 vehicles and is within walking distance from Motorline's existing Toyota dealership.

"Following a refurbishment of one of the two dealerships, Motorline will relocate their Hyundai dealership to the site at the end of June this year leaving the vacant facility for future growth opportunities in the town.

"Motorline purchased the Westlands Group of seven dealerships in June 2016 and since this time has undertaken a planned rollout of investments and upgrades having seen significant improvements in the former Westlands business since acquiring them.

"The new location for Hyundai Worcester will offer the brand a prime location and the opportunity to expand further."

It is believed by Motorline that the landlord of the Hallow base will continue to use the site for motor trade.
