A CITY store has been evacuated after a fire alarm went off.
A fire engine was called to the Homebase shop in Hylton Road, Worcester, at around 2.18pm today.
Dozens of people waited outside the shop for around 30 minutes, although it reopened at roughly 2.50pm.
Heather Tomlinson, aged 72, from Worcester, said: "Just after 2pm we were outside by the plants and heard the bells going and they came up and said everyone out.
"We had to leave our trolley. We were stood out there for about half an hour."
Manager Colin Griffiths said the incident was caused by a fault with the fire alarm.
He said that staff had to evacuate everyone from the building, within four minutes, as a precaution.
