THIS picture shows the scene of destruction after a car and a van smashed into each other.
No one was seriously injured in the crash, although the two drivers involved were taken to hospital.
Paramedics rushed to the scene at the junction between Bennetts Hill and the B4510 Newtown, in Offenham, near Evesham, at around 10.25pm last night (May 10).
The van driver, who is in his 40s, suffered a suspected fractured leg and was transported to the Alexandra Hospital, in Redditch.
Firefighters from Evesham used cutting gear to remove the roof from the driver's vehicle so he could be pulled out.
Another ambulance took the car driver, who is in his 40s, to Worcestershire Royal Hospital, with head, back and leg injuries.
In total, West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a MERIT (Medical Emergency Response Intervention Team) trauma doctor to the incident.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service sent two fire engines to the scene, arriving at 10.33pm.
West Mercia Police closed the road at around 10.30pm, although it was reopened at 4.41am this morning.
Police have now launched an investigation and anyone with information can call 101 quoting incident number 780s of May 10.
