THE RHS Malvern Spring show has proved a massive hit from the crowds.

The four day events' second day saw celebrity guest appearances from gardening expert Alan Titchmarsh and Masterchef judge John Torode, who hosted audiences in the Festival Theatre.

Blue Peter legend Valerie Singleton also made a special visit to see the special Blue Peter garden, which has been created to celebrate 60 years of the popular children's show.

Now in its 33rd year the show has become the RHS’s biggest event outside London, with more than 100,000 people expected to visit across the four days.

This year’s show takes its inspiration from the Great Exhibition of 1851 with show gardens designed by up and coming RHS gold medal-winning designers.

Diana Walton, the festival's head, said there is "something for everyone to enjoy at the show" whether they are keen gardeners, food fans or families.

The show runs until Sunday.
