WYRE Forest clubs took over at the Worcestershire League Division One summit.

Stourport and Bewdley are first and second respectively after a home defeat for previous leaders Worcester Nomads by Chaddesley Corbett.

In-form Ryan Derrick claimed 7-50 to guide Stourport to an easy win over struggling Pedmore while Bewdley beat bottom club Burghill, Tillington and Weobley by seven wickets to gain their maximum points.

Bilal Hassan (74) and Chris Mole (55 not out) set up a maximum-point victory for Chaddesley as only Ollie Ranscombe showed any resilience with 72 for Nomads.

Evesham climbed the table following victory against Colwall while Worcester left it to a last-wicket partnership to beat Feckenham by one wicket after dismissing the visitors for 93.

In-form Tom Coulson took 6-42 for Feckenham and Hagley captain Michael Stead delivered a fine all-round performance with 80 and 4-30 in a maximum-point winning draw over Cookley.

Just 11 points separate the top five teams in Division Two.

Bromyard went to the top after a maximum-point three-wicket victory at last week's leaders Belbroughton who remain second just a point clear of Black Country duo Coombs Wood and Oldswinford in joint third.

Dan Jones' 124 and an undefeated 80 from Imran Riaz helped Coombs Wood gain a maximum-point winning draw against Bartestree and Lugwardine.

And 95 from Tom Slater guided Oldswinford to a 15-run victory against Enville who chased well thanks to Spencer Mann's 105.

Sam O’Neill continued his impressive return after finishing his footballing exploits, finishing undefeated one run short of a second century in as many matches when Kempsey gained their second win of the season against lowly Wormelow.

And 131 from Alastair Pretty helped Himbleton post 305-7 which proved too many for Old Vigornians to chase as they finished 68 runs short which gave the visitors the winning draw.

Form side Alvechurch and Hopwood's Christian Batterley claimed 6-27 to ensure a maximum-point win against Bromsgrove to move top for the first time.

Lye are third after chasing down Avoncroft's 235-7.
