A DOG from a Worcester home has been placed in temporary accommodation after residents raised concerns for its wellbeing.
The wolf–dog hybrid, a mixture of wolf and Husky, had been living in Grosvenor Walk, Worcester.
Officers from St John’s and Bedwardine Safer Neighbourhood Team and the RSPCA are thought to have visited the address to assess the animal. Together with Worcestershire Regulatory Services, officers and the RSPCA have contacted the dog’s owner.
PC Paul Slaymaker said: “The dog now is in suitable accommodation waiting to be rehomed.”
An RSPCA spokesman said: “We are aware of this and have been liaising with the police and the local authority to resolve the situation. The police are now leading on this and we will assist where we can.”
