SCHOOLCHILDREN have taken part in an annual arts festival.
Pupils from Stanley Road Primary School held the festival, called StarFest.
This year, it was entitled 'Isle of Noises' after a quote from Shakespeare's 'The Tempest', and took place at Huntingdon Hall where the children all had the opportunity to perform to an enthusiastic audience.
Each class studied a musical concept, style or theory and wove it into their performance. The performances ranged from singing in different languages to acapella, from body percussion to children's musical compositions using the pentatonic scale.
Teacher Naomi Portman said: "The children's musical ability and sense of rhythm shone through in their confident and inspired performances."
The festival took place on Tuesday, June 19.
