A CHILDREN'S Hospice will receive almost £1,000 after donations from guests at the Worcestershire Education Awards.
Acorns Children's Hospice was the charity of the night at the awards which celebrated those who work in education in Worcestershire. The awards were held at the Worcester University Arena on Wednesday, June 20.
Amanda Smallman, Acorns senior fundraising manager, corporate and community, said:
“It’s wonderful that Acorns was chosen to benefit from the Worcester Education Awards charity collection. It costs us nearly £10 million a year to provide our vital care to children and families, so this money will make a real difference.
“The amount raised could help pay for a child to have a short break in the hospice and for a family to stay with us overnight. A huge thank you to everyone for giving so generously.”
