THE most annoying office phrases have been revealed.
And top of the list is "there's no I in team"
Business Telecommunications provider, 4Com, looked into the most
annoying office buzzwords of 2018.
After surveying office workers across the UK some 32 per cent
of people found the phrase ‘there’s no ‘I’ in team’ to be the most grinding
of all the buzzwords and phrases.
And 50 per cent of office workers found the phrase ‘ASAP’ to be
the most common expression used round the office.
Roughly a third of those asked agreed that office jargon is jarring however
nearly a quarter admitted to using buzzwords daily and one in 50
confessed to using them every hour.
Head of Marketing at 4Com Mark Pearcy said: “We can all be guilty
of using the odd buzzword or two when talking to colleagues. It might sound
snappier in an email, but unless the person receiving it knows exactly what
you mean, there’s not much point!
“As a telecoms provider, we are all about communication - the more
straightforward, the better. When it comes to making a point or explaining
your ideas, it’s definitely more important to be understood than to sound
slick.”
