NEW steps leading to Cripplegate Park have been installed.
Work on the steps where the flower bed used to be is now finished and creates a straight walk from the traffic lights near Worcester Bridge to the park.
A Worcester City Council spokesman said: "The new steps are designed to create a clearer, more welcoming and attractive entrance to this beautiful park.
"They fit in with the surrounding area better and also create a new view of the Glovers Needle when you reach the traffic lights.
“There is still more work to be done. Handrails will be installed in coming weeks, and there will be new flower beds on either side of the steps, which will be planted later in the year.
“This is a joint project between Worcester City Council and Worcestershire County Council, and is closely associated with the work to raise the level of New Road."
