AN e-fit image has been released of the suspect after an assault in which a teenage girl fought off her attacker.

The attacker in the Red Hill Lane assault is described as being white, of average build, around 5ft 11in, in his early to mid 20s, with short brown hair.

In the assault, the teenage girl punched the man who grabbed her from behind and tried to pull her to the floor.

She ran away, and was reportedly unhurt but shaken up following the assault.

He was thought to be wearing a football-type shirt, which was navy blue in colour, at the time.

Officers have also said a man touched a woman inappropriately in two late night incidents in London Road on June 20 and June 27, near to where a teenage girl fought off her attacker in Redhill Lane on Sunday July 15 with police not ruling out that they are linked.

Detective inspector Chris Percival said: “These sorts of incidents are rare in Worcester, and I would like to reassure the public that although we do not believe the incidents on London Road in June and Red Hill Lane in July to be linked, whenever there’s a case of this nature the police will review previous offending in the geographical area.”
