TOMORROW is set to be the hottest day of the year in Worcestershire.

Temperatures are expected to get up to 30C, expected in the early evening at around 5pm.

Some forecasters have said there is even a chance that the previous record of 34C in the country, could be broken.

Today is looking to be another warm day, but there will be some cloud so temperatures will reach a peak of 26C.

In the hot weather the Met Office has issued a heat weather warning, with people urged to "stay out of the sun" during the strong sunshine hours.

On Friday it is expected the heatwave will break down with thundery shower forecast for all day.

And maximum temperatures forecast for the weekend and early next week is 23C.

Dave Throup, the county's Environment Agency manager, tweeted: "Some locations have had no rain for 54 days.

"Barring some thunderstorms, outlook is dry and hot."
