Sir – What a surprise over Parsonage Way (Council reports brands Worcester City stadium site ‘unrealistic’, July 21)! Two years ago I suggested Little Perdiswell in Droitwich Road.
Well I suggest it again. It is a compact area used for sport. Parking would not interfere with the school as football takes place on Saturday and in the evenings.
Two years on from my original suggestion does WCFC have the funds to proceed?
The board is not forthcoming with its actual financial situation other than that funds rapidly are diminishing.
It has to be a community stadium for the possibility of football of the required standard to exist in Worcester.
The council does not have to provide funding for a private limited company it has put a lot into Parsonage Way as an act of goodwill.
