ONE of the Worcester Stands Tall giraffe sculptures has been removed for repair after being damaged.
The damage to the giraffe, in Fort Royal Park, was spotted earlier today, and the campaign organisers have now taken it away to be fixed.
Worcester Stands Tall tweeted: "We are sorry to report that unfortunately our Diversity Is Us giraffe sculpture at Fort Royal has been damaged and we've made the difficult decision to remove the sculpture for your safety."
It is hoped it can be returned as soon as possible.
The damage has been reported to police, and anyone with information is urged to call 101, citing incident number 594s/030818.
The Diversity Is Us giraffe, sponsored by Southco, is the work of award-winning creative director, artist and content creator, Mr A Singh.
It is not the first giraffe to be damaged.
Hive Mind, outside the Hive library, was damaged following an England World Cup match.
Another, at the Cross, was damaged when it was knocked over. A man was arrested following that incident and directed to clean the sculptures as part of a community resolution punishment.
