RESIDENTS were going quackers for the annual St Richard’s Hospice duck race on Saturday.
The annual event saw hundreds of rubber ducks released onto the River Severn, over Worcester Bridge, and competing for first place.
The route saw the ducks make their way from South Quay to Worcester Cathedral.
Prizes were available for the first fancy dress, large and small duck over the finishing line.
The event, which takes place in association with Worcester Festival, was started by special mascot Puddle Duck who proved popular with families from the city and further afield.
All proceeds from the race will help St Richard’s Hospice to provide care for patients with life-threatening illnesses and support for their families.
