A 12-HOUR ‘Classathon’ and music night held at Malvern St James Sports and Fitness Centre raised over £1,300 for the British Heart Foundation this time last year. The classes, which ranged from yoga to boot camp, were aimed to suit all ages and abilities and those taking part were encouraged to wear something red.

The evening saw musical performances and an auction with businesses donating prizes in support of the charity. BHF volunteer Dave Hall, from Malvern, who helped organise the event, said he was thrilled to raise £1,305. He said: “In particular I want to thank Malvern St James manager Simon Vaughan and his team who have supported the foundation for several years now, organising similar events.” He added: “As a heart patient myself I know how important these fundraising events are for vital research into heart disease. I would like to say a big thank you to everyone.”
