IT’S been a busy couple of weeks for Healthwatch Worcestershire. Despite the wet weather we spoke to well over 100 people at the Worcester Show on August 12.

People spoke to us about their experiences of using local services and gave us useful feedback about how services could be improved from patient or service user’s perspective.

We have also been attending parks in the Wyre Forest with the Wyre Forest District Council Play Here Team, Bromsgrove District Housing Trust invited us to attend a community day in Bromsgrove and we spent time at Oasis School in Warndon as part of a Fortis Family Day.

The many events we attend over the summer are a great way for us to raise awareness of our work and to gather feedback. This summer we have been doing a survey on Dentistry, we are keen to hear from as many people as possible so please visit our website or contact us to take part.

Over the last few weeks some patients have talked to us about their experiences of the Diabetes Pathway and in particular Glucose Monitoring. It is important to us we hear from as many patients as possible about their experiences so please do get in touch if you have diabetes and would like to share your experience with us.

On September 14 we will be holding our Public Board Meeting at Evesham Town Hall from 10am- 12.30pm.

We will be joined by West Midlands Ambulance Service, so if this is an area of interest to you please do come along. We will also be discussing Diabetes and Stroke Services. All members of the public are welcome to attend our attend our meetings. Please keep an eye on our website for the Agenda and any other information related to this meeting.
