A WORCESTERSHIRE business has made a significant investment to grow their fleet of commercial vehicles.

Smart Cut has its head office, workshop, machinery store and training facility at Bishampton near Pershore, with sister firm TFN Landscape based near Gloucester, has taken on 10 new Isuzu trucks.

The companies, which are part of the £5million annual turnover Smart Cut Group, now have a 50-strong combined vehicle fleet between them.

The companies’ new commercial vehicles are all Isuzu Grafter Green rigids, which are expected to cover a maximum of 40,000 miles in their two-year working life within the fleet at Smart Cut and TFN Landscapes.

They have been supplied by local Isuzu dealer Aquila Truck Centre in Worcester, who have worked closely with them to provide the ideal specification for their various business operations.

Smart Cut director and founder Tom Rimell said: “Following on from the original four Isuzus ordered in 2017, we have taken the 10 new vehicles as part of our 2018 fleet replacement programme, and will soon order a further 10 for delivery in 2019.

“Our local Isuzu dealer Aquila worked closely with us to provide the ideal specification for our businesses and fully understands our business model for vehicle acquisition, and we now have a really good working relationship with them. Their support during the truck replacement programme has been first class.

“Most importantly, we have the trucks out there working, and earning, without any delay.”

Smart Cut Ltd has been in business for more than 30 years primarily as a ground maintenance company servicing businesses, housing associations and local authorities across the West Midlands.

TFN Landscapes provides soft landscaping, turfing and tree planting services for all the main national housebuilding organisations in the area.
