A BABY has stunned her parents - and the midwife who delivered her - with her magnificent mop of dark hair.

Long-haired Louisa Lilee, now six weeks old, caused gasps of amazement when she was born at Worcestershire Royal Hospital with a full head of hair.

Her mum Ellie Parkes, aged 36, of the Hill Avenue, Battenhall, Worcester, said her daughter was a real crowd-puller as people gathered round to marvel at her luxuriant locks.

She added: "I am constantly getting comments from the public who see her in her pram such as "Hasn't she got a lot of hair?" or "look at that mop!" or "I thought my child had a lot of hair but nothing compared to this". Even the midwife was amazed and she sees thousands of babies."

The couple, both IT workers with Worcestershire County Council, say they are immensely proud of their first child's eye-catching mane.

Her dad Nigel, 39, said she takes after him - he was also born with a full head of hair and photographs of them put side-by-side are difficult to tell apart except that pictures of Nigel are in black and white.

He said: "If you look at a picture of me at the same age it could be her. I still have all my hair."
