THE floods in June and July were discussed at the September meeting of Lower Broadheath Parish Council. It was agreed to write a report of the damage to houses in the village and send it to the county council environmental services.
The chairman, Barbara Beard, reported the recent fire at the Scout Hut, which has now been made secure. Repairs on the Vicarage Green had now been completed.
PC Alan Naulls said that the monthly surgeries were proving successful. The grant for publishing the Parish Plan had been approved. Veronica and Paul Swinburn were thanked for all their hard work on this project. Mrs Swinburn will be taking part in a training session on footpaths and waymarking.
