Worcestershire Wildlife Trust is to hold a harvest event at its Lower Smite Farm.

Children will be able to learn all about wildlife on a farm at harvest time, follow nature trails and even pick blackberries.

Education officer Debs Bull said it promises to be a fun-packed afternoon for the whole family.

"Local farm produce traders will be selling local foods," she said. "Apple juice tasting will be in the orchard and art and craft activities will include making corn dollies, leaf art and mini scarecrows."

Meanwhile, wildlife experts giving advice and information will be on hand in the orchard, wildlife garden and wildflower meadow. Other attractions include a display of the winners of a photography competition and a chance to contribute a fish scale to support a special marine campaign. A tombola, stalls and ice cream, tea and cakes will also be at the free event which will take place between 2pm and 5pm on Sunday, September 23.
