A WORCESTERSHIRE man has missed out on making it to the final 12 of hit television series The X factor.

Daniel Moule, of Flyford Flavell, near Worcester, has managed to make it to the final 24 people in hit ITV show but last night millions of viewers saw the 30 year old fail to make the cut.

Mr Moule, who sings on the local circuit, beat more than 150,000 contestants to make it to this stage of the competition but got the chop from the competitions judges Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne, Simon Cowell and Dannii Minogue.

In Saturday's Worcester News Mr Moule, who is also known as Dan Days and has performed many times at Worcester's Marr's Bar, said he was happy to have made it this far.

He said: "I'm a singer-songwriter and have been playing in England and Ireland for years, since I was 16. My friends persuaded me to go to the auditions in Birmingham at the beginning of summer.

"I never thought I would get this far or be in with a chance of winning. I wanted the exposure I could get and also meet the judges and see if I could get any tips from them."
