The 6,481 gift sets - each valued at £18 and intended for Boots in the city centre - were taken from the canvas-sided lorry and trailer between 12.30am and 9.30am yesterday.
The easily identifiable sets - code number 5315034 - each contain: 'Givenchy Amarige' (4ml), 'Guerlain Indolence' (5ml), ''Givenchy Ange ou Démon' (4ml), 'Ghost Deep Night' (10ml) and 'Very Irrésistible Givenchey Sensual' (4ml).
A police spokesman said:"There is a strong likelihood that most of these highly distinctive products will be offered for re-sale, particularly on the run-in to Christmas, either to the public generally or to small retailers."
"They could appear in pubs and clubs, in the work-place or even at the door-step, virtually anywhere really. Anyone who is offered one - other than from Boots - should report it to us at the earliest opportunity."
Police can be contacted on 08457 444 888, quoting 210S/151007. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
