Annabel Greene is at crisis point. Her "best friend" is spreading rumours about her and her family is slowly falling apart. It's turning into a long, lonely summer, full of secrets and silence. But then she meets Owen who won't let her hide away, he is obsessed with music and is determined to make her listen. And he is determined to make her smile. But can he help her forget the night when it all changed??

"Just Listen" is about a teenager Annabel Greene who's life has turned around. She is a model and has been modelling for all her life, her latest work being the Kopfs department store advert. But as she looks at herself in the commercial and her now, she can see a lot of difference between herself and the girl" who has it all". Between her sister becoming sick and her best friend refusing to talk to her and wanting to quit modelling but she can't tell her mum, things are getting tough. But Owen wants her to smile, and refuses to let her hide, but just listen to the music. Is he the person who can save Annabel???

I liked this book because it gripped me all the way through and I just wanted to carry on reading. The front cover is interesting and bright, and it is the reason why I picked this book. The
characters were engaging and seemed real, as if you could just walk into them. The plot of the story was exciting, with secrets being revealed throughout the book. This book would be good for young
adult readers and is a good book to make you think. The whole book is about first impressions and not to judge a book by its cover and overall it is a great read.

This book is absolutely amazing. Its got depth but at the same time reality. It makes you consider life in a different way and makes you realise that you can change yourself for the better and you need to be more open and never be narrow mined.
