A CHILDREN'S author is to be visiting nurseries, pre-schools and book stores in Worcester to celebrate the launch of her first book.
Writer Helen Wendy Cooper, of Eardiston, near Tenbury Wells released the first of her Shape Land picture book series, Trevor Triangle Loses the Mail' at the beginning of the month.
And to celebrate, she will be touring around the city to read children her book.
Miss Cooper, aged 28, said: "I toured Kidderminster and Bewdley last week and really enjoyed myself. All the children sat beautifully and participated in the story and questions I asked them on colours and shapes.
"I have also been doing a colouring activity after the story, which is based on three of my main characters.
"I'm really excited about returning to Worcester and looking around the nurseries, as I trained as a Nursery Nurse at Worcester college of Technology," she added.
She visited the London Road Nursery at the beginning of the week and will be at the WH Smith bookshop in Worcester doing booksigning on Saturday, October 20 between 10am and 2pm.
