A TOILET reviewer has been flushing out the best and worst loos in Worcester - with the bottom ranked described as a "dystopian robotoilet".

Instagram page Female Toilet Reviews (@femaletoiletreviews) has been spending a penny in all manner of lavatories in the city, from public facilities to cafes and restaurants.

Each toilet is scored out of 15 with the reviewer concentrating on three categories - smell, atmosphere and facilities.

Top of the toilets is Poppins bathroom receiving an almost perfect 13 out of 15 and described as: "..toilets cleaned with care and love. Well done Poppins.".

But at the other end of the scale with a toilet "so nasty I can't imagine even hovering over it" is the public toilets in Cripplegate Park.

Scoring a dismal 3/5 the loos, which cost 20p, the review says: "There are palms outside but I feel like I am in Wormwood Scrubs.

"Who in their right mind would use that toilet roll on the floor? Or press any of the buttons? (I wore plastic gloves).

"I'm sure whoever designed this thought it was a clever idea to have the tap/water fountain over the toilet bowl, but it all adds to this nightmare."

The brave woman behind the account, which wishes to remain anonymous, said while the reviews are humorous, people do deserve to have good quality facilities.

"There has been a great response, people are very interested and I've had a few people with disabilities asking what facilities are like.

"It's something that should be provided and I wouldn't want to pay 20p to sit in a disgusting lav.

"I think it is a shame, a real shame, because Worcester has lots of great things but its facilities don'tseem to be really cared for.

"For people who work outside, the homeless and people with disabilities - they need somewhere to go that's clean and working."

A Worcester City Council spokesman said: “The Cripplegate toilets are cleaned twice a day and are monitored during the day by the Council’s parks team.

"We will look closely at this feedback and consider if any changes need to be made.”
