MOVE over Michael Flatley and make way for Worcestershire's River Severn Dance.
Dancers from the award-winning Sean Eireann McMahon Academy of Irish Dancing, who train in Worcester, Malvern and Droitwich, are putting on a one-night-only show at the Chase Technology College in Geradline Road, Malvern, tomorrow.
The aptly-named dance is billed as an evening of superb Irish dancing accompanied by live traditional Irish music and song.
"It's guaranteed to have every toe tapping and hands clapping in the house," said Rose Ellis, who runs the dance academy.
"Without a doubt this will be a very professional, slick show. Who needs the West End or Michael Flatley when you have us?"
Well-known Worcestershire ceilidh and concert band Malthouse Passage will provide music for the show, and Malvern resident Paul Farrer, who wrote the theme music to popular quiz show the Weakest Link, is taking charge of sound and lighting with help from Chase pupils Joss Wood, Chris Ashley and Jordan Richards.
Pupils from the Irish dance academy have performed at festivals throughout Europe and all proceeds from this event will go towards sending the young Sean Eireann McMahon dancers to the Irish Dancing World Championships in Ireland next Easter.
The River Severn Dance will be performaned in the main hall between 7pm and 9pm.
For tickets, priced £6, call 01684 568613 or 01905 360412.
