WE are all choc lovers here at Worcester News - a packet of share bag does not last long once it is opened.

When we read that British bargain store B&M is now selling new Australian chocolate bars we knew what we had to do.

That morning we made a little trip to B&M to see what all the hype is about.

Can they beat the original and best Cadbury Dairy Milk? Have our Australian counterparts been munching on much better choc? We had to find out.

Marshmallow Maltesers

Worcester News: Marshmallow and Malteser mix Marshmallow and Malteser mix

At glance, we thought this sounded like a chaotic combination and in reality, it's much worse.

Marshmallow Maltesers taste like how a children's birthday party should feel. Overly chaotic and surprisingly sweeter than expected.

The treats have a crisp texture and the taste is similar to a confetti birthday cake

The first handful might go down a treat, but too many might make you feel slightly sick.

Our review: Very very sweet, 4/10

The Snack Bar

Worcester News: The (Aussie) Snack bar The (Aussie) Snack bar

Intriguing - the Snack bar contains six different flavours in one. Delving into this bar can feel a little like a lucky dip.

And with no indication of which flavours come first, finding the flavour you want is simply down to pot luck.

The flavours include strawberry, orange, coconut ice, pineapple and Turkish delight.

When you open the packet, you are met with the fresh whiff of cocoa beans along with caramel and pineapple, making this chocolate a taste journey.

Perhaps the six flavours could have done well individually but bundled up together seem to have put our taste buds in overdrive.

The pineapple and chocolate combo sounds powerful enough to start another global debate in the manner of pineapple on pizza, but it tastes a little like roasted pineapple mixed with advent calendar chocolate.

This one could have the potential to be a hit because the premise is similar to a box of Roses.

Our review: extremely chaotic altogether, but some flavours taste nice 8/10

Caramilk Topdeck:

Worcester News: Caramilk from down under Caramilk from down under

The chocolate tastes quite tart and very rich but this Aussie bar might be a little too sweet for British taste buds.

Each dairy milk chocolate square is topped off with a 'caramilk' coating on top.

Most Brits would be expecting a stream of caramel sauce embedded inside the chocolate square, but down under they seem to swap the caramel out for a 'caramilk' block.

If we could sum the taste up it would be this: imagine the taste of a British caramel dairy milk bar and now times the sweetness by 10, because that's what the Aussie version tastes like.

Our review: very, very (very) sweet 6/10

Twirl Caramilk

Worcester News: Twirl bar with a caramel twist Twirl bar with a caramel twist

Most people will say Twirl is their favourite chocolate, but the Aussie version comes with a sweet twist.

Similar to the British version, this snack has two bars in one.

And although the name of this treat insinuates that it will be filled with gooey caramel, it doesn't have any traces of the caramel most Brits are used to.

The chocolate tart taste accompanied by a rich aftertaste quickly made this snack the office favorite.

Our review: Taste's like a standard call, 7/10

Our friends from down-under might have a bigger sweet tooth than us. Most of these treats were proven to be overly sweet compared to British chocs.
