SIR - If my letter about Richard Udall and the EU was too difficult for Peter Scott to understand, I would like to repeat it for him.

I asked how Mr Udall could prove it is a minority that are against the EU.

I also asked why the Government doesn't let us have a referendum on the subject, as it promised.

I also said I did not know any one of my friends who were for it. My friends range from millionaires to shop workers so they are a wide range of people.

I would like Mr Udall and Mr Scott to give simple answers to the above, if they can.

J L REYNOLDS, Worcester.
