A school-girl was airlifted to hospital this afternoon after an incident on the Malvern Hills.
The 14-year-old, who has not been named, was taking part in a school event for Sport Relief on the Worcestershire Beacon when she began to feel faint at about 3pm.
West Midlands Ambulance Service received a 999 call and the County Air Ambulance from Strensham was dispatched to the scene.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "We received a call that a girl who was at the top of the Worcestershire Beacon was feeling unwell.
"The girl was participating in a local school charity event raising money for Sport Relief and began to feel faint.
"The girl, believed to be 14, was treated at the scene by paramedics and airlifted to Worcestershire Royal Hospital as a precaution."
