YOUNG chocolate lovers who have been helped by some of Worcestershire children charities are to receive an easter surprise.

Almost 350 chocolate eggs, which were collected by Worcester firm Siemens Automation and Drives Sensors and Communication, based on Bridgewater Road, near Warndon, have been given to the charities. The company asked employees and distributors to donate the eggs, which they have now given to support the Acorns Trust, Greenhill Children's Home, the Noah's Ark Trust and the children's ward at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

Alex Mundy, administration and facilities co-ordinator at the company said they wanted to make sure local children's charities benefited.

"We have done really well, the support from everyone has been wonderful. Many many thanks to all that have donated easter eggs to our challenge," she said.

The Noah's Ark Trust, a children's bereavement charity based in Lowesmoor were given over 100 eggs.

Hayley Fowler, Marketing and Communications co-ordinator at the trust said they were very grateful for the donation.

"The eggs will be given to the children that our bereavement co-ordinators are working with now.

"Thank you for the extremely generous donation from Siemens," she said.
