Could you be the next Miss Worcester?

4:28pm Thursday 20th March 2008

Your Worcester News has been inundated with application forms from glamorous girls who want the chance to represent the city in the prestigious Miss England contest, and even stand a shot at Miss World.

This year we are accepting applications from anyone who is unmarried, aged 17 to 24 and lives in a postcode area starting WR.

Once the closing date of Friday, March 28, has passed, Worcester News readers will have the chance to pick their favourite.

Voting starts at the beginning of April and the top 10 girls who receive the most votes will then be announced.

Your Worcester News has once again teamed up with Worcester Racecourse to bring the competition to the city and the finalists will take part in a gala event at Pitchcroft where they will have to impress a panel of special judges on Thursday, May 22.

To enter, send us a head-and-shoulders photograph as well as a full-length photograph. You must make sure that we have permission of the copyright-holder to use the picture.

Post your pictures, along with your name, age, address, telephone number, email address and signature to Sarah Bevan, Promotions, Worcester News, Hylton Road, Worcester, WR2 5JX.

Entries must reach us no later than Friday, March 28.
