ARE your blooms potential prize-winners?
Are you a brilliant cake-baker?
Does your talent lie in capturing striking images with your camera?
If so, you could win a prize when Cripplegate Park hosts the Worcester Flower Show on Saturday, August 9.
Following the success of last year's event, organisers are making an early call for potential entrants to plan their contributions.
As well as hosting displays of flowers, fruit and vegetables, the show aims to encourage and inspire people to become involved in creating a whole host of things which show off the very best of Worcester.
Event co-ordinator Linda Ohlson said the show was designed to cater for everyone, regardless of age or experience.
She said: "Enthusiasm is likely to be more important than talent. The flower show has become a tradition in the city and I am really looking forward to our third event.
"I hope we attract a record crowd this year."
The show, organised by the city council and the Friends of Cripplegate Park, will have six categories: floral; fruit and vegetables; cakes and preserves; handicraft; photography; and a children's section.
It will also feature live music, and visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about composting and recycling as well as shopping at arts and craft stalls and herb, plant and vegetable farmer's market.
More information can be found at www.worcester.gov.uk or by calling the council's customer service centre on 01905 722233.
