9:43am Friday 9th May 2008

THE first phase of a new Worcester business park has been completed.

Construction company Weaver marked the completion of the Apex Business Park with the handover of the £3.4 million Apex Park office development for A & J Mucklow Group.

Apex Park, next to junction 6 of the M5, Worcester north, is a speculative development of four self-contained office buildings on the former Cosworth Engineering site.

The buildings range from 4,539 sq ft to 12,982 sq ft, and include comfort cooling, raised access floors, suspended ceilings and generous car parking.

Andrew Tomlinson, design and build director at Weaver, which is based at Bromsgrove, said: "It is great to be renewing our relationship with Mucklow, for whom we have worked on several projects in the past.

"It is also very pleasing to be involved with the regeneration of this particular site to result in the high-specification office premises which many occupiers now demand.

"Apex Park was designed to minimise environmental impact, taking into account sustainability and best practice in the project's design and construction."

Justin Parker, managing director of A & J Mucklow of Cradley Heath, which is developing the site, said: "With Apex Park, we are demonstrating our confidence in Worcester as a popular office location."
