SIR - I don't normally respond to George Cowley's inane profferings, but calling atheists oddballs was certainly the catalyst for a response.
A true Christian is one who attends church regularly and is convinced that there was, is, and always will be, a deity that will welcome them to the kingdom of heaven.
There is also the middle-ground Christian who is baptised, attends weddings and funerals. The last one of course answering the question they had been asking themselves all their lives. And then there is George Cowley who, if he lived in the Middle Ages would certainly have whipped up convincing arguments that most of his neighbours were witches and demons and had them castigated, tortured, and put to death for heresy.
