A GANG of four men “smashed up” the EE shop in Kidderminster to steal mobile phones during a raid.
The shocking incident happened on Friday afternoon (September 23), with police arresting one of the men after a chase across the town.
A large number of police officers descended on Vicar Street following the phone shop raid.
Officers said that Kidderminster residents “pulled together” as they assisted in recording “valuable” video of the incident. One “brave person” also chased after the group as they ran away from the scene.
Wyre Forest Police posted on Facebook: “The people of Kidderminster pulled together this afternoon when four males stormed into EE and started smashing the store up to steal mobile phones.
“Passers-by recorded valuable video of the incident with one brave person taking chase as they ran away.
“A vast amount of Officers from SNT, Response, Dog Section and NPAS were involved in an area search which spanned from the Town Centre to the Chester Road North and resulted in a foot chase from the train station, through gardens and one male being located and arrested.
“Thank you to all the public who assisted us along the way”.
