WYCHBOLD HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY

The society's spring show was held on Saturday, April 5, in Wychbold village hall and, as usual, the hall was a blaze of colour courtesy of the splendid exhibits.
The judges are always very complimentary about the high standards achieved by the exhibitors, and this year was no exception.
Of particular note was the large number of entries in the photographic section.
Marie Skerratt presented the awards - she and her husband Robin are the donors of the trophy for the best entry in class two for tulips.
The prize winners were: Albert and Amy Hughes Salver, Sue Pugh; Dolly Wilson Challenge Cup, Gordon Russell; President's Prize, Steve Tullett; Wychbold Flower Club Cup, Pat Kay; Robin and Marie Skerratt Trophy, Sue Pugh; Webbs Garden Centre Cup, C Cotterell; Joyce Harrison Cup (handicraft), Evelyn Phillips; Webbs Voucher (domestic), Pat Tonks; Webbs Voucher (photographic), Philip Pugh.
