A Malvern man has been barred by a judge from the pub where he attacked a Japanese customer in the beer garden as they watched a rugby match.
Richard Smith admitted at Worcester Crown Court to racially aggravated assault by beating on Taichiro Tatehata and was remanded on bail for a pre-sentence report.
Judge Andrew Geddes said that the behaviour of 21-year-old Smith, of Archers Close, Malvern, was extremely unpleasant and worrying, although he was in drink.
He had six previous convictions for anti-social behaviour and was currently subject of a community sentence.
He ordered that Smith must not go within 100 metres of the Cross Keys in Malvern where the offence took place on October 20 last year.
