Aimed at Worcestershire people researching their family history, the event has been organised by the Worcester Branch of the Birmingham & Midland Society for Genealogy & Heraldry.
George Mills will give a talk at the Baptist Church Hall in Sansome Walk, Worcester on Friday.
He will discuss the ups and downs of his interesting life, from his travelling roots to work in the police force.
